Nation to Host Aviation Stakeholders Convention

Addis Ababa April 13/2023(ENA) :-Ethiopia will host the 11th Aviation Stakeholders Convention that aims to promote and serve the industry from May 7-9, 2023.

The convention is jointly organized by Ethiopian Airlines and African Airlines Association (AFRAA).

Briefing the media today, Ethiopian Airlines CEO Mesfin Tasew said the airlines is very pleased to host this big aviation stakeholders convention.

Aviation Stakeholders Convention is one of Africa’s major forums for air transport industry stakeholders to dialogue, exchange knowledge and experiences for the development of the travel ecosystem.

According to him, the “convention will be helpful in bringing all stakeholders together to discuss about the unique challenges of African aviation and to find solutions to challenges.” 

The Government of Ethiopia, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics in particular, is supporting this convection, it was learned.

African Airlines Association Secretary General, Abderahmane Berthe said on his part the convention will deliberate ways of changing the narrative of African aviation industry, creating conducive environment, and enhancing the performance of airlines in the continent.

Digitalization, cyber security, enhancing cargo operations, among others, are expected to be discussed during the convention.

“I think it is essential to change the future of our aviation industry with transformative ideas and action,”  the secretary general pointed out. 

Representatives of civil aviation authorities, airports, air navigation service providers, ground handlers, regulators and other pertinent stakeholders are expected to take part in the convention.
