Ethiopia, Kuwait Agree to Strengthen Cooperation in Their Respective Police Institutions

Addis Ababa (ENA) March 7/2023 Ethiopia and Kuwait have agreed to strengthen cooperation in their respective police institutions. according to the Federal Police Commission.

Federal Police Commissioner General Demelash Gebremichael, conferred with Kuwait’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Nayef Al-Otaibi at his office today.

The two sides discussed ways to strengthen police partnerships between Ethiopia and Kuwait and prevent transboundary crimes.

 

Mentioning the long-aged bilateral relations between the two countries, the Commissioner General said the two police institutions of the countries should work together to take the relationship to a higher level.

Kuwait’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Nayef Al-Otaibi on his part expressed his country’s commitment to support the Ethiopian Federal Police's border control organization with logistics and capacity building.

 

Kuwait is also desirous to exchange experiences with the institution on technology.

The two sides have indicated during their discussion that they will sign a Memorandum of Understanding to further strengthen the ongoing cooperation.
