Ethiopian Aviation University to Start Undergraduate, Postgraduate Programs Next Year

Addis Ababa March 6/2023 /ENA/The Ethiopian Aviation Academy which has been recently upgraded to an aviation university, is going to start teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students beginning from the next Ethiopian New Year.

Acting president of the Aviation University,  Kassie Yimam told ENA that the aviation academy has been playing its pivotal contribution to the success of Ethiopian airlines for the last 65 years.   

The academy has trained more than 15,000 aviation professionals including Pilots, hospitality professionals, technicians, and in service among others over the past years. 

Citing that the growth of Ethiopian airlines as the greatest and the renowned airlines in Africa and the growth of the sector at the global level, he said it is crucial to upgrade the academy into Aviation University with fulfilling all the necessary tools. 

The Aviation University has been certified to give five education programs which are aircraft maintenance, Engineering, Aerotech Engineering, aviation management, and Hotel and Tourism, it was indicated.    

Stating that the Aviation University will receive students and start the registration soon, Kassie said it will go fully operational by the next Ethiopian New Year. 

The university will provide the training to students from Ethiopia, other African countries, Asia and across the rest of the world while the training that have currently been given will continue  as well. 

Over six decades old, the Ethiopian Airline Aviation Academy is a world class Aviation Training Center equipped with state of the art and best in class training equipment and technology.
