Shimelis Abdisa Elected as Oromia Regional State Deputy President

Addis Ababa April 18 /2019 The Oromia Regional State Council appointed a new deputy president, Shimelis Abdisa, replacing Lemma Megersa on April 18, 2019.

Oromia Council (Cheffee Oromia) has elected Shimelis at an extraordinary session it held today in the afternoon.

It has been recalled that Shimelis has been serving as Head of the Office of the Prime Minister replacing Fitsum Arega, who was         appointed as Ethiopia’s Ambassador to U.S.

According to Oromia Broadcasting Network (OBN) the election is aimed at replacing former chief administrator Lemma Megerssa who was appointed this morning as the Defense Minister.
