President Macron Concludes Visit to Ethiopia

Addis Ababa March 13/2019 French President, Emmanuel Macron, concluded a two-day state visit to Ethiopia earlier today.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and senior government officials bade farewell to the president at Bole International Airport.

The president, on his first day trip, visited the rock-hewn Churches of Lalibela and discussed about ways of renovating the churches which were inscribed as UNESCO's World Heritage.

President Macron last year vowed to protect the rock-hewn Churches of Lalibela imperiled by corrosion.

Following his trip to rock-hewn Churches, President Macron discussed with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and President Sahle-Work Zewde on bilateral and regional issues.
