Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi in Addis for Official Visit

Addis Ababa March 05/2019 Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed received the President of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed at Bole International Airport this morning for a one day official visit.

The two parties are expected to hold discussions on key regional and bilateral issues of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Abiy was in Juba on Monday to participate in tripartite meeting with South Sudanese President Salva Kiir and Eritrean President Isaias Afeworki.

Last week Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta was in Ethiopia on an official state visit with a delegation of businesses and investors to explore investment opportunities.

Somali’s President Mohamed Abdullahi visit to Ethiopia is a continuation of bilateral and trilateral talks that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has been undertaking with leaders of Horn Countries, it was indicated.
