State Minister Hirut, Eritrean Ambassador Semere Hold Discussion

Addis Ababa January 03/2019 Foreign Affairs State Minister Hirut Zemene held discussion with Ambassador Semere Russom of Eritrea today, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to her, efforts are well underway to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
Hirut further noted that special attention is attached to the effort of enhancing people-to-people ties.
Ambassador Semere said on his part the voluntary medical Ethiopian team deployed in Eritrea recently will consolidate the people-to-people relationship.
The Eritrean ambassador pledged to elevate the bilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and Eritrea during his tenure.
Ethiopia and Eritrea have officially resumed diplomatic relationship in 2018, ending the two decade stalemate peacefully.
