EPRDF Council Expresses Condolences for the Late President Girma Woldegiorgis

Addis Ababa December 16/2018 Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) Council has extended its profound condolences for the late President Girma Wolde-Giorgis, who died on Saturday in Addis Ababa. In a condolence letter sent to Ethiopian News Agency today, the Council expressed its profound condolences over the death of former president Girma, who have done a lot in building modern Ethiopia since his early juvenile. Former Ethiopian president Girma Woldegiorgis died on Saturday, two weeks short of his 95th birthday, it was indicated. “It is with great sadness that the Council learned of his death” saying that “his ethos of political and public administration was exemplary to the new generation.” The release added that the late Girma passed all ups and down persistently in every position he had been assigned, adding that the former president gave his fair share for the betterment of Ethiopia. In his huge responsibility as member of the parliament during the previous two reigns, Girma was contributing enormously to the wellbeing of the public and the country at large. According to the Council, the late Girma was at the head of Ethiopia’s presidency for 12 years with industrious and veracity great statesmanship service. “He will always remember for commitment to his significant contributions of environmental protection and voluntary activities at the national level on the top of his role in the public administration,” the condolences letter said. Noting on former Ethiopian president Girma Wolde-Giorgis as he was ideal leader for the new generation, the Council extended its deepest sympathy to his family and the people of Ethiopia.
