Police Apprehended METEC Ex-Director General

Addis Ababa November 13/2018Police have apprehended Major General Kinfe Dagnew, former Director General of the state-owned Metals and Engineering Corporation (METEC). Major General Kinfe arrived in Addis Ababa today after he was arrested in Humera, Tigray Regional State, as he desperately flees to neighboring Sudan. He is expected to appear in court not later than 48 hours after his seizure. Meanwhile, the Federal Attorney General has also revealed list of name of suspected people in human right abuse and corruption today. The Attorney General has revealed 36 people suspected in connection with corruption including Metal and Engineering Corporation Director-Director General Major General Kinfe Dagnew, Metal and Engineering Corporation Deputy-Director General Tena Kurnde. Moreover, it publicized 27 suspects in connection with human rights violation including Addis Ababa Security Head Goha Atsbeha.
