Gov`t to Evaluate Mid-term Performance GTP-2

Addis Ababa May 18/2018 Ethiopia is set to evaluate its mid-term performance of the Second Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP-2) from 22-25 May, 2018 at the national level, according the National Plan Commission. Briefing media today Getachew Adem with the Rank of State Minister, National Planning Deputy Commissioner said the major aim of the evaluation workshop is to identify best experiences and weaknesses so as to realize the national Plan. The assessment will be held by all stakeholders led by high level federal and regional sates officials while experts are also expected to present papers for discussion. Workshops will be held at various levels including women and youth, farmers and pastoralist, private sectors, civil associations and development partners with over 200 participants in each level, he stated. Accordingly, the final stage at the federal level is set to be held within two weeks following the conclusion of the four days workshop at the national level.
