Foreign Minister Receives Credentials of Newly Appointed Japanese Ambassador

Addis Ababa  October 16/2018 Foreign Affairs Minister Workneh Gebeyehu has received credentials of the newly appointed Japanese Ambassador to Ethiopia, Daisuke Matsunaga, today. The minister said on the occasion that Japan is a close ally of Ethiopia and time-tested friend. Thanking Japan for the development aid it has been extending, Workneh said Ethiopia wants to further strengthen the existing stable and fruitful relation. Ambassador Matsunaga said he is happy to become the first Ambassador to hand over credentials after the foreign minister is sworn in as a minister. He added that the Japanese government will further support the development effort of Ethiopia.
