SputnikPro Provides Training for Ethiopian Journalists

Addis Ababa April 21/2021 (ENA) Sputnik International News Agency and Radio virtually provided its first training workshop for more than 30 journalists from Ethiopian News Agency (ENA) last week, on April 16, 2021.

Deputy Head of Sputnik News websites and radio, Tatyana Kukhareva spoke about the specifics of journalism in the rapidly changing world.

 “We had a very intensive discussion with our colleagues from the Ethiopian News Agency. It was great to receive so many questions,” Tatyana Kukhareva said.

She pointed out that the participants were interested in a whole variety of topics, from fake news to the nuances of covering elections.

“I hope that Ethiopian journalists will be equally engaged and active during future workshops,” she noted.

The workshop was moderated by Head of the Media Relations of International Cooperation Directorate, Asya Samoilova.

Participants in the training lauded Sputnik for the informative session and shared their feedback.

“Thank you for the interesting training and experience sharing. We got some actual knowledge during the webinar. We hope the project will develop more capacity in the future,” ENA Journalist Mengistu Zewdie Hailemariam commented.
