Electoral Board Concludes Candidates Registration
Addis Ababa March 11/2021(ENA) The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) announced today the completion of candidates registration for the upcoming general election.
Briefing the media, NEBE Chairperson Birtukan Mideksa said the registration for the 6th General Election took place in two rounds and registered more than 8,200 candidates.
The first round registration took place from February 15-28, 2021, and the second round from February 22-March 5, she added.
NEBE faced logistics supply and office problems, it was learned.
The chairperson said complaints raised by some political parties during the registration were solved through discussion with the pertinent stakeholders.
