Ethiopian, ACM Aerospace Sign Partnership Business Agreement

Addis Ababa July 05/2018 Ethiopian Airlines Group and ACM Aerospace Company of Germany today signed a business agreement to engage in partnership in the manufacturing of aerospace items for aircrafts.  The purpose of the agreement is to set up a facility in Ethiopia that will manufacture and supply aircraft seat covers, safety belts, carpets and other interior parts to be produced by AMC Aerospace. The accord was inked by Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Tewolde Gebremariam and Managing Director of ACM Aerospace Company, Arash Noshari. During the signing ceremony, Tewolde said “we are working in partnership with aircraft manufactures and other aerospace suppliers to establish and develop labor-intensive aerospace manufacturing industry with a wide portfolio of products.” The new business agreement will contribute to scaling up the quality of aerospace aircraft accessories in the country, he indicated. He said “we have been dominant provider of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) in the continent, but we are now beginning to supply aircraft components to major aircraft manufactures.” According to the CEO, the partnership signed today is also huge milestone in producing educated work force, create job opportunities for more than 100 persons, export promotion and synergize with the textile and leather manufacturing industries being developed in the country. Furthermore, he said "we are negotiating with major aerospace suppliers and original equipment manufacturers like Boeing, Airbus and Bombardier and others." Managing Director of ACM Aerospace Company, Arash Noshari said “it is big opportunity for us to have this cooperation with Ethiopia”. He added “We are looking forward to set up a very strong partnership with Ethiopian Airlines Group and grow together with aircraft interior products made in Ethiopia, thereby supporting the aerospace manufacturing development program of the country." "I’m very proud to cooperate on a high quality level with the largest carrier in Africa and I am pretty sure this is a great step into the future,” he said. ACM Aerospace is a prominent European aerospace manufacturing company that specializes in aircraft seats and others interior parts.
