PM Abiy, Political Party Leaders’ Discuss on Impact of COVID-19

ENA April 5/2020 Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed today discussed with leaders of competing political parties to oversee the impact and measures of COVID-19 in the country.
According to Office of the Prime Minister, Premier Abiy and the political parties exchanged views on possible additional measures to be taken by the government in order to contain the spread of the virus.  

Abiy twitted that “as we implement social distancing, meeting all parties together is not possible and hence the consultations will proceed in small groups over the two days.”

“I am thankful for the constructive dialogue of this morning and look forward to the next ones,” he said.

The political parties’ consultation dialogue that has been begun today will continue until tomorrow.
