Ethiopia COVID-19 Cases Hit 35

Addis Ababa, April 3/2020(ENA)Ethiopia has confirmed the highest jump in COVID-19 cases, with 6 people testing positive on Friday. 

Ministry of Health has tested 74 samples in the last 24 hours, of which six of them turned out positive.

This brings the national total to 35.

According to the Health Minister, Lia Tadese, all the six confirmed cases are Ethiopian nationals, out of which 5 from Addis Ababa and the other from the city of Dire Dawa.

The first two cases from Addis Ababa, who are 35 and 30-years-old men, have a travel history to Dubai on March, she revealed.

However, the remaining four individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 did not have a travel history.

The Minister said all the patients are doing well, except for two at the intensive care unit in Addis Ababa.
