Japan Expresses Solidarity to Ethiopia against COVID-19

Addis Ababa, March 19/2020( ENA) The Government of Japan has expressed its solidarity to Ethiopia in the fight against Coronavirus (COVID-19).

In a press statement issued today,  Japan's Ambassador to Ethiopia, Matsunaga Daisuke said Japan is firmly behind Ethiopia in the fight against COVID-19.

Noting that three Japanese nationals have recently tested positive for COVID-19 in Ethiopia, he expressed his conviction that Japan and Ethiopia will win the battle in the near future.

“We will face the challenge with sincerity and determination,” the ambassador stressed.

Ambassador Daisuke expressed his deep sympathies with the victims of COVID-19 and wished their speedy recovery.

The Japan Embassy in Ethiopia is resolved to keep working hard under the guidance of the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI), he added.

On the basis of the long-standing and mutual trust, the two countries relations will grow even closer, the ambassador further pointed out.
