Nat'l Education Conference to be Held this Week

Addis Ababa August 27/2019 Ministry of Education announced today that the annual National Education Conference will be held in Jigjiga, Somali Regional State, from August 29-30, 2019.

Minister of Education Tilaye Gete said the conference will evaluate the performance of the education sector this Ethiopian fiscal year.

The participants will also discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the sector and set future actions to be taken.

The draft Ethiopian Education Development Roadmap, which is expected to be approved by the Council of Ministers soon, is going to be discussed by participants of the conference too.

Regional bureau heads, experts, and other stakeholders will take part in the conference, it was indicated.
