Armenia to Open Diplomatic Mission in Ethiopia


Addis Ababa August 27/2019 Armenia plans to open a diplomatic mission in Ethiopia by the end of this year, according Armenia News Agency.

According to the agency, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan revealed the plan to open diplomatic mission in Ethiopia while addressing a conference of ambassadors and heads of diplomatic departments today.

The minister said the African continent is still a new direction for the foreign policy of Armenia.

“We are opening this new direction by way of establishing close cooperation with Ethiopia, our historical friend in Africa,” he elaborated.

The news agency stated that Mnatsakanyan characterized Ethiopia as a unique gateway to the region.
