Ethiopia, Nicaragua Desirous to Strengthen Relations

Addis Ababa July 30/2019 Ethiopia and Nicaragua have expressed their desire to enhance relations of the two countries.

Foreign Affairs Minister Gedu Andargachew and his counterpart Denis Ronaldo Moncada discussed bilateral issues today.

The two ministers also stressed the importance of promoting mutual interests and benefits with the spirit of South-South and Africa-South America cooperation, it was indicated.

Spokesperson at the ministry, Nebiat Getachew told ENA that the two side exchanged ideas on ways of enhancing bilateral and international relations.

According to him Nicaragua is planing to open an embassy in Addis Ababa.

Moreover, the Latin American nation envisages widening its relation with other African countries by opening embassy in Addis Ababa and strengthening relations with Ethiopia.

Ethiopia is also desirous to strengthen its ties with Nicaragua, Nebiat stated.
