HPR Approves Mining Proclamation, Refers 4 Draft Bills to Standing Committees

Addis Ababa  May 16/2019  The House of People’s Representatives (HPR) has approved today the proclamation for regulating the transaction of minerals, and referred four other draft bills to the pertinent standing committees.

In its 38 regular meeting, the House approved unanimously the proclamation for the transaction of minerals.

In addition, 4 draft proclamations were referred to the pertinent committees for review and examination.

Among the drafts, the Regulation for the Administration of Employees of the Secretariat of the HPR was referred to the Human Resource and Technology Standing Committee.

The draft labor proclamation was referred to Women, Youth and Social Affairs Standing Committee.

Similarly, the draft proclamations for the Re-establishment of the Ethiopian Press Organization and the Amendment of Commercial Registration and Business were referred to Legal, Justice and Democracy Affairs Standing Committee, and Trade and Industry Affairs Standing Committee, respectively.
