Addis Ababa May 15/2019 Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed conferred with President of the World Economic Forum, Børge Brende on Wednesday at his office, in a follow up discussion to their meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
According to office of the Prime Minister, Premier Abiy and Brende signed an agreement that sets forth the terms and conditions applicable to the cooperation of the 2020 World Economic Forum on Africa that Ethiopia will host and the Government for the Regional Meeting.
It is to be recalled that in January 2019, it was announced that Ethiopia would host the 2020 World Economic Forum on Africa.
The World Economic Forum on Africa will be held in Addis Ababa in September 2020 and is expected to be attended by over one thousand people.
The announcement was made following a meeting between Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of WEF.
