Ethiopian Diaspora Association Proclaims Full Support to Reform

Addis Ababa April 10/2019 The Ethiopian Diaspora Association said it fully supports the reforms underway in the country.

At a press conference held today, Chairperson of Ethiopian Diaspora Association Edris Mohammed said the year-long reform under PM Abiy Ahmed has created opportunities and benefited the diaspora.

“The Ethiopian Diaspora have benefited a lot and are happy,” the chairman stated.

According to Edris, the diaspora are participating in various campaigns to support the social and economic affairs of the country.

The association is working to encourage the diaspora to participate in investment, tourism, health, peace building, GERD and other initiatives, including the Ethiopian Trust Fund.

The association has focal persons in Ministry of Revenues and Office on the Construction of the GERD follow the contribution of the diaspora and solve obstacles, he noted.

The Ethiopian Diaspora Association was established seven years ago and has more than 15,000 members.
