Ethiopia,Armenia Sign MoU to Strengthen Technological Cooperation

Addis Ababa April 03/2019 Ethiopia and Armenia have signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen technological cooperation between the countries.

During the signing ceremony, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who is on an official visit to Ethiopia, said “we have touched so much important areas to discover and unravel the wonderful potential that exists in expanding the cooperation of Armenia and Ethiopia.”

He recalled that the two nations know each other for a long time and have deep historical root.

“Every smart development in which the talent of every people is fully amplified and unleashed is the way in which we can provide sustainable development to make the people owners of their development,” Mnatsakanyan noted.

Innovation and Technology Minister, Getahun Mekuria revealed that cooperation had started earlier as Armenia has promised to provide about 50 laboratory equipment worth 1.5 million USD.

He explained that the equipment will to be given to about 50 high schools to facilitate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to help students to be more creative and innovative.
