President Paul Kagame Visiting Hawassa Industrial Park

Addis Ababa May 25/2018 Rwandan President Paul Kagame who is on three day official visit to Ethiopia has started visiting Hawassa Industrial Park. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Kagame has arrived in Hawassa this afternoon and warmly welcomed by officials of the Southern Nation Nationalities People's Region (SNNPR). After being briefed about Hawassa Industrial Park by Investment Commissioner Dr. Belachew Mekuria, Kagame begun visiting PVH, formerly known as Philips-Van-Heusen Corporation, an American Clothing Company which is also owner of Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. President Kagame will pursue his visit to an Indian Gamcha and Dress materials manufacturing of JP Textile all of which are engaged in a total export production. Hawassa Industrial Park, which is established with a special emphasis on environmental friendly manufacturing process particularly, Zero Liquid Discharge facility, will also be visited by Kagame. President Kagame will also pay a visit to the other anchor companies that have already started production and exporting like TAL Apparel and Ontex. It is to be recalled that Ethiopia in the eye of strengthening the relationship between the two countries have opened its embassy on 2017 in Rwanda while Rwanda opened its embassy in 1978 in Addis Ababa.
