Chinese Companies Keen to Invest in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa November 14/2018 Chinese companies from Guangdong province are desirous to engage in various investment projects in Ethiopia, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The investors held discussion with Teferi Melese, Ethiopian Consulate General in Guangzhou-China, on various investment opportunities in Ethiopia. During the discussion, Teferi briefed Chinese investors about the wide range of investment prospects in Ethiopia including industry, aggro-processing and tourism sectors. Deputy Head of China Overseas Investment Union, Madison Ma said on his part the association will support Chinese companies to invest in Ethiopia. Ethiopia is a principal investment destination for Chinese companies, which over 400 companies have invested with a total capital of four billion USD, it was indicated.
