MoFA Implementing Structural, Human Resource Placement Reform

Addis Ababa October 04/2018 Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) disclosed that it has been making structural and human resource placement reform to conduct a meaningful bilateral and multilateral diplomacy of the country. MoFA Spokesperson Meles Alem said the reform is aimed at building institution which ensures national interest and improves its influence. Accordingly, the ministry will have five permanent secretaries under the state ministers to pass operational decisions and enable the minister and state ministers focus on policy and strategic issues, he added. The spokesperson revealed that diplomats will be recruited and reshuffled based on their experiences and qualification. The structural and human resource placement reform approved by the Prime Minister is under implementation, it was learned.
