Ethiopia, Djibouti and Russia Hold Joint Business Forum

January 25/2022/ENA/  A business forum aimed at raising awareness of small and medium-sized Russian businesses and give them a clear picture of the investment potentials of Ethiopia and Djibouti as well as creating a conducive environment to improve bilateral trade and economic relations was held in Moscow yesterday, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Russian, Ethiopia, and Djibouti  business forum was organized by the Coordinating Committee for Economic Cooperation with Africa (AFROCOM), in collaboration with the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The forum also aimed to serve as a springboard for business missions to Ethiopia and Djibouti that will be organized by AFROCOM to take place in February, 2022.

AFROCOM is making preparations to launch Russian Business Support Centers in both countries in the near future, it was learned.

At the forum, officials from the Ethiopian Investment Commission, Chamber of Commerce and Sectorial Associations of Ethiopia, and Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Association  have made presentations.

Representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and related ministries of Ethiopia and Djibouti, ambassadors of Russia in Ethiopia and Djibouti, and Alemayehu Tegenu, Ambassador of Ethiopia in the Russian Federation were among the high profile officials who attended the forum.
