PM Stresses Need for Unity, Inaugurates Huge Edible Oil Factory

Addis Ababa June 7/2021 (ENA) Strengthening our unity and ensuring prosperity would be beneficial as it is impossible to disintegrate Ethiopia, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said.

The premier made the above remark at the inauguration of a private edible oil factory built at a cost of 5.2 billion Birr in Debre Markos today.

Forces that try to disintegrate Ethiopia should realize that they cannot accomplish their goal and return to unity, he added.

"It is possible to attain prosperity by supporting business persons, marching hand-in-hand  and utilizing resources," Abiy stated.  

Owner of the inaugurated WA Edible Oil factory, Worku Aytenew said on his part the factory will start supplying adequate products within one month.

To realize this, he added that distributors have already been identified.

The factory with 1,500 employees has a capacity to produce 1.35 million liters of edible oil in a  day.

Federal and regional higher officials attended the inauguration ceremony.
