Agency Distributing over 134 Million Birr Worth Medicines, Medical Equipment in Tigray

Addis Ababa April 20/2021 (ENA) Ethiopian Pharmaceuticals Supply Agency (EPSA) Mekele branch said it is distributing over 134 million Birr worth medicines and medical equipment to health institutions in Tigray Regional State.

EPSA Mekelle Branch Manager, Alemayehu Gebremarian said the medicines and medical goods are being distributed to 50 health institutions providing service to the public.

The agency had also been distributing medicines to health institutions in the region, he added.

Pharmacy Services Coordinator in the region’s health bureau, Gebre Egziabher Wolde Giorgis on his part commended the Ethiopian Pharmaceuticals Supply Agency and Ministry of Health   for their support in protecting the society from being exposed to illnesses.

He further called for a consolidated support as the supply of medicines is not adequate.
