March 24/2021(ENA)Some foreign media and diaspora do not want the Tigray people to lead a stable life, Eastern Tigray Zone Administrator Haile-Sellasie Gebre-Meskel said.

Although the federal government and the community are working hand in glove and restoring peace after the law enforcement operation in Tigray region, politically motivated media and disgruntled diaspora continue to confuse the public by disseminating false information, the administrator added.

Haile-Sellasie noted that the people of Tigray should be wary of the political conspiracy they hatch up to destabilize the region leading luxurious life abroad.

According to him, the society should identify agents of the criminal group which wants to meet its destructive goal at the expense of the youth while they lead a comfortable life.

“The people of Tigray shouldn’t be confused by the deception of the dismantled TPLF group. Foreign-based media like Tigray Media House, BBC, Aljazeera, CNN and others are no friends of Tigray. If there are any genuine journalists, professors, doctors, engineers, they should stand  besides the people of Tigray during this crisis by withstanding any challenges.”

He revealed that the anti-peace group terrorizes the community and tries to disrupt  government services. But, the interim government has been working with devotion to fully revive life throughout the region.

The junta had released more than 3,000 prisoners in Eastern Tigray Zone alone and the gangsters have been committing  crimes, the administrator elaborated.

Despite, these problems the community has played a crucial role in restoring stability in the zone and returning the situation to normalcy.

Currently, 14 woredas out of the 17 in the zone are leading calm and stable life.

Despite the shortage, humanitarian assistance has been given to inhabitants of 13 woredas, he said, calling on  the international community to effectively respond to the crisis.
