Ethiopia Starts to Advance In Utilizing AI, UAV: PM Abiy

Addis Ababa March 23/2021 (ENA) Ethiopia has started advancing towards utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for various sectors including agriculture and health, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said.

Responding to members the parliament today, Premier Abiy said that not only did Ethiopia ensure its space presence within two years but also has launched two satellites in orbit.

He added Ethiopia is building technological capabilities for development.

Ethiopia has applied drones in law enforcement operation and the fight against desert locust swarms in several parts of the country, Abiy stated, and added that remarkable results has been attained.

Premier Abiy stated that Ethiopia has embarked cloud seeding technology whereby trials were recently conducted to produce rains in some parts of the country.

Moreover, pointed out that the country is domestically producing Cancer Care Robots to support its health care system.
