Oromo Television Network Inaugurates Office in Capital City

Addis Ababa July 05/2018 The Oromo Media Network (OMN), which has been broadcasting programs from USA, has inaugurated its office here in Addis Ababa today. The inauguration program was held in the presence of Oromia Regional State Chief Administrator Lemma Megersa, Oromo Media Network General Manger Jawar Mohammed and religious leaders at the Millennium Hall. Oromia Chief Administrator Lemma Megersa said OMN has played a big role in bringing tangible change in the regional state. The television network should continue inspiring the people and strengthen participation by disseminating reliable information to make the change more successful, he stressed. Noting that OMN leaders have been fighting from abroad, Lemma said the regional state is now ready to work with them as they have returned home. The Chief Administrator called also on the public, particularly the youth, to discharge their responsibilities by consolidating the reform. Oromo Media Network (OMN) Director, Jawar Mohammed expressed his commitment to make the medium work effectively to realize the change brought in the country. Jawar thanked Oromia Regional State Chief Administrator Lemma Megersa for his efforts in bringing change to the region. The Oromo political activist Jawar Mohammed established Oromo Media Network (OMN) in the US in 2014.
