Ethiopia, DR Congo Delegations Discuss GERD

March 4/2021(ENA) Water, Irrigation and Energy Minister Sileshi Bekele held discussion today about the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam with a delegation from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The minister alongside senior officials received the delegates from the Democratic Republic of Congo, it was learned.

During the occasion, Sileshi explained Ethiopia’s position on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

He also noted that Ethiopia remains committed to a win-win solution and looks forward to the Democratic Republic of Congo’s stewardship in this matter as well as to African solutions for African problems through trilateral negotiation.
