PM Grateful to Residents of Addis, Hawassa for Warm Reception Given to President Isaias

Addis Ababa July 16/2018 Prime Minister Abiy has expressed today his gratitude to residents of Addis Ababa and its environs as well as Hawassa city for warmly welcoming President Isaias Afeworki during his three day visit to Ethiopia. The premier also thanked artists, the security and the youth for making the reception colorful and peaceful. Federal Police Commissioner-General Zeynu Jemal on his part acknowledged the people for their contributions in making the stay of President Isaias Afeworki successful. He particularly thanked the youth of Hawassa for vigilantly keeping peace by making surveillance around the hotel the leaders stayed during the night. Commissioner-General Zeynu added that the visit went peacefully due to the collaboration of the community and the security forces; and this should be further strengthened. In related news, Foreign Affairs Minister Workneh Gebeyehu also expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for making the stay of the president successful, according to the press release of the ministry. Workneh said that the warm and brotherly welcome and farewell from the residents of Addis Ababa and environs as well as Hawassa is to be proud of.
