Eritrean to Reopen Embassy in Addis within Two Days

Addis Ababa July 13/2018 The Eritrean Embassy in Ethiopia will be reopened officially within the coming two days, according to Government Communication Affairs Office. Government Communication Affairs Minister, Ahmed Shide said the opening of the embassy follows the agreement reached between Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and the Eritrean delegation. The Minister stated that Ethiopia will also open its embassy in Asmara soon. Preparations are also underway to use the Port of Assab, and Ethiopian Airlines will resume direct flight to the Eritrean capital after few days, Ahmed added. He further stated that activities are underway to enhance the all-round relationship of the countries by carrying out other infrastructural development works. Joint ministerial committee has been working to restore the relations of the countries in various sectors, it was learned. The minister noted that the countries have now commenced full diplomatic relations.
