Premier Appoints New Air Force Commander

Addis Ababa June 21/2018 Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed today appointed Brigadier General Yilma Merdasa as Commander of the Ethiopian Air Force. Brigadier General Yilma has replaced General Adem Mohamed, who recently appointed by the Prime Minister as Director-General of the National Intelligence and Security Services. The Premier has also appointed Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Defense Force, General Birhanu Jula, as head of defense operation. Lieutenant General Mola Hailemariam was also assigned as coordinator of defense logistics, according to the National Defence Force.
