Ethiopia Reports 2 Additional COVID-19 Cases

Addis ababa, April 12/2020(ENA) Ethiopia has confirmed two additional cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number to 71, according to Ministry of Health.

In a statement Minister of Health Dr.Lia Tadesse sent to ENA, the new cases were confirmed from 286 samples tested over the last 24 hours.

All patients are Ethiopian nationals and they have travel history.

The first patient is a 24-year old woman quarantined after she returned from Dubai while a 35-year old woman arrived from Turkey and was quarantined in isolation center.

As of March, Ethiopia has tested 3863 people and recorded 71positive cases for COVID-19.

Currently, 56 patients are receiving medical treatment at hospital but no patient at intensive care unit, the ministry revealed.

Ethiopia so far recorded three deaths from coronavirus pandemic and 10 people have fully recovered, it was learned.
