Revenues Ministry, Customs Commission Donate over 1.47 Bn Birr for COVID-19

Addis ababa, April 11/2020( ENA) Ministry of Revenues and Customs Commission have donated over 1.47 billion Birr worth material and food to citizens vulnerable to COVID-19.

Minister of Revenues, Lake Ayalew handed over the materials to representatives of the nine regional states and the two city administrations, 26 charities, ministries of Peace, Women Children and Youth, and Labor and Social Affairs.

The minister said on the occasion that this is a time when all Ethiopians need to cooperate, unite, and support one another to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19.

Lake called on citizens to follow medical advice provided by Ministry of Health to protect themselves and minimize the damage caused by the virus.

The donation comprised over 1.78 million kilogram clothes, 27,928 pairs of shoes, 28,557 liters of oil, and 4,648 kilogram rice.
