Britain Backs WHO in the Fight Against COVID-19 Epidemic

April 9/2020( ENA)The government of UK has backed the World Health Organization after President Trump accused it of bias towards China. 

Boris Johnson’s spokesman said that “the UK supports the role that the WHO is playing in co-ordinating the global health response to the pandemic”.

There were no plans to review funding for the organisation, he added.

Britain is due to pay 11 million USD this year.

French President, Emanuel Macron and African leaders including President Sahilework Zewudie, President Cyril Ramaphosa, and President Paul Kagami have also shown their full support to Dr. Tedros Adhanom.
