President Expresses Condolence on Death of Ethiopians due to COVID-19

April 6/2020(ENA) President Sahlework Zewdie on Monday expressed her condolences over the death of two Ethiopians due to COVID-19 related patients.

Ethiopia reported its second COVID 19-related death, following a 56 year old man, and a 56-year-old man has died of the epidemic on Sunday evening. The man has no any travel history.

It is to be recalled that yesterday the Ministry of Health announced the first death record in Ethiopia after a 60 year old woman died contracting coronavirus.  

“I express my heartfelt condolence to the bereaved families. Applying all preventive measures are a restrict mandatory of all of us to curtail further spreading of the outbreak and save life,” she said.

Since the onset of the outbreak, the number of people infected by the virus in the country has reached to 43 as of yesterday.
