Meles Academy to Start Masters Program in January

Adama June 17/2018 Meles Zenawi Leadership Academy has been finalizing preparation to start masters of degree program in the coming January. Participants from various Universities, Center of policy studies, scholars from all regional sates and other stakeholder are attending the two-day workshop in Adama city on the draft document of the program. Addis Ababa Meles Zenawi Leadership Academy Director-General Kahas Woldemariam told ENA preparations have been underway in consideration with the huge demands of the city of Addis Ababa for quality leadership. City management and administration, economic development, urban solution and diplomacy are mentioned among the programs to be provided under the second degree program, according to the Director- General. Addis Ababa Meles Zenawi Leadership Academy, Academic Affairs Director Dr. Gebre Miruts on his part said the curriculum has developed through research and experience sharing from 20 local and overseas universities. The selected training courses are crucial to create a leadership who could satisfy the demands of the people with understanding the complexity and psychology of urban society, he noted. Preparations which enable to start the program such as human resource, books and computer laboratories have finalized while the construction of the 1.4 billion birr building is well underway at the main campus, it was indicated. The Academy have been provided the short and long term trainings for 7,500 leaderships and other executive bodies in the city administration previously, it was stated.
