Trade, Dev’t Bank Pledges to Support Ethiopia's Response to COVID-19

ENA,April 4/2020 The Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank has reportedly pledged to extend support to Ethiopian in its battle against the COVID-19 . 

The remark was made during the telephone conversation CEO Admasu Yilma of  the Nairobi-based  regional bank had with Meles Alem, Ethiopia's Ambassador to Kenya.

During the discussion, Admasu stated that the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank will provide financial assistance to help the nation purchase medical and other materials to fight COVID-19.

In addition, he has reportedly pledged trade and financial assistance to government and private banks in order to ensure the country's sustainable development.

Ambassador Alem on his part appreciated the bank for its positive gesture.
