PM Holds Video Conference with Regional Chief Administrators, Mayors

Addis Ababa, March 28/2020(ENA) Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held a video conference on COVID19 prevention activities today with all regional chief administrators, deputy chief administrators and mayors of the two administrative cities. 

On the occasion, all the participants reported preparedness with efforts underway to raise region-wide awareness on prevention protocols, with challenges experienced in maintaining social distancing, particularly by religious institutions.

According to the Office of the Prime Minister, some of the support requests raised by regions included medical supplies and equipment, while professional medical staff shortages have also been raised.

It added that the regions will continue their preparation and prevention awareness raising work.
