Addis Ababa, March 17/2020( ENA) A high-level delegation led by Agriculture Minister Oumer Hussein has visited the operational activities of Djibouti, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The main purpose of the three-day working visit from March 13-15, 2020 was to assess the ongoing bulk operation, it was learned.

The delegation visited the fertilizer and wheat discharge works both at Doralleh Multipurpose Port and SDTV.

In addition, discussions were held with the management and operation heads of the ports.

During the meetings, the delegation underscored the fact that coordination efforts between Ethiopian Embassy, Ethiopian institutions in Djibouti as well as the management of Djibouti Port witnessed an upward trajectory that forged a better operational output compared to previous years.

To ensure bulk cargoes reach their targeted consumers in an efficient and timely manner, both the Ethiopian and Djiboutian sides agreed on the need to upscale the ongoing coordination work, while also devising creative mechanisms to further boost the operational output by addressing the key challenges surrounding the general logistics and supply chain across the corridor.
