Council of Ministers Discusses GERD, Establishes Committee to Prevent Coronavirus

ENA February 29/2020 The Council of Ministers has discussed the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam and about ways of monitoring and preventing Coronavirus today. 
Following its discussion about the GERD and the recent developments, the council underlined that the negotiation on the dam will only be conducted with respect to the national interest and benefit of the country.

Any negotiation that harms the country's national interest and sovereignty is not acceptable by the government of Ethiopia, it stressed.

With regard to Coronavirus, the council established a six-member National Ministerial Committee that monitors and prevents the virus, according to the Office of the Prime Minister.

The committee will be headed by Ministry of Health.
