Ethiopia, US Agreed to Deepen Cooperation

Addis Ababa April 27/2018 Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and US Acting Assistant Secretary for African Affairs Ambassador Donald Yamamoto have discussed ways of further deepening cooperation. The two sides have discussed on issue of common concern in general and peace and security issues in particular, according to Director General of American Affairs Ambassador Birtukan Ayano. US Acting Assistant Secretary for African Affairs Ambassador Donald Yamamoto said that Ethiopia’s efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region is encouraging. Yamamoto has assured that his country would continue supporting the country’s efforts to stabilize the region. During the discussion, Prime Minister Abiy requested the US to support Ethiopia’s efforts in human resources development, according to the Director-General.
