ERaPa Merges with Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice Party

Addis Ababa  July 15/2019 Ye Ethiopia Ra’iy Party (ERaPa) announced today that it has dissolved the party and joined Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice.

Ye Ethiopia Ra’iy Party President, Teshale Sebro said the General Assembly of the party unanimously decided to merge with Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice to strengthen Ethiopian nationalism and the unity of the country.

The merger will further strengthen the Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice in the upcoming election, he added.

Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice Leader, Berhanu Nega said on his part the merger of Ye Ethiopia Ra’iy Party with the newly formed broader Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice will create strength for the party.

It is few strong democratic parties that have power to mobilize the people and pave the way to true democracy in the country, he pointed out.

Berhanu stated that the ultimate goal of the party is not winning election but creating enabling environment for true democracy in Ethiopia.

Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice evolved from the dissolution of Patriotic Genbot 7, Ethiopian Democratic Party (EDP), All Ethiopian Democratic Party (AEDP), Semayawi Party, New Generation Party (NGP), Gambella Regional Movement (GRM), and Unity for Democracy and Justice (UDJ) party, it was learned
