Kenya Keen to Start Cultural Cooperation with Ethiopia

Addis Ababa April 29/2011 Kenya expressed its desire to start cultural cooperation in order to strengthen the people-to-people relationship with Ethiopia.

In his remark at the Ethio-Kenyan Borena community cultural festival Kenyan Vice President William Ruto said that Ethiopia and Kenya have a solid relationship at government level.

"Organizing joint platforms is crucial to create peaceful relationship and strengthen understanding among the people of the two countries," he added.

Stating that cultural festivals are useful for unleashing tourism, Vice President Ruto assured his country's commitment to further strengthen the people-to-people relationship.

Ethiopian Ambassador to Kenya, Meles Alem, said the relationship between the two countries was strong under different governments and the present generation need to pursue it.
