Arkebe Urges Japanese to Invest in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa November 13/2018 Special Adviser to the Prime Minister, Arkebe Oqubay, urged Japanese investors to invest in Ethiopia and to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. During his meeting with high-level Japanese officials and representatives of Japanese companies, Arkebe has called on Japanese companies to invest in Ethiopia. Arkebe also appreciated the cooperation of the Japanese government with Ethiopia, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He asked the Japanese government to urge investors to spend their capital in Ethiopia, and officials and company executives to visit the favorable investment conditions in the country. The special consultant has also held fruitful discussions with officials of various giant Japanese companies. Arkebe has been awarded Japan’s highest Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star on November 5 for his outstanding contribution to industrial development of Ethiopia and consolidation of the economic ties between Ethiopia and Japan.
